These are all names that have been suggested for me to take on in my roll of grandmother. This roll suits me. I am tickled pink to be whatever my grandsons will choose to call me. I now have two of them. Lincoln, 14 months, is in the stage of being quite the character. Every "Uh Oh" uttered by Lincoln is just that much more because of the face he makes to accompany it. His delight in life is contagious. An unexpected drop in visit by Link is a highlight of any night!
Last Tuesday my grandson Ezra was born. He weighed in at 8 lbs 8 oz and was 21". He gave his mom quite a time being born into this world, and watching the miracle of that was something I will never forget. Ezra has black hair and big dark eyes where Lincoln is blond haired and blue eyed. I have chocolate and vanilla! Ezra has a wise look about him. His dark eyes always searching his environment looking in the direction of the familiar voices of his mom and dad. Looking up in to my face when I am singing to him or just talking to him about his day. OH to be a grandmother! I LOVE IT!

I say it's about time...

I did it! I got married! July 16, 2011 I married the love of my life! I don't have time right now to tell all that went on but suffice it to say it was a perfect day. Here are some pics. See that smile on my face? It's still there after 8 days I still have not come down off the high of that special day! Love, music, ocean, waves, gulls, family, friends, food, laughter, it was all there and more! I have to post though that the only thing that could have made my day happier was if all the kids could have been there!

Can it Really be 2011?

I can remember going out on the front porch within the first few minutes of 2010, lighting a few fireworks and banging a few pans...making some noise and joyfully bringing in the year 2010! Hmmmm wasn't that just yesterday?
And then...
Boom! Pow! What??? Here we are in 2011!
2010 brought a grandson, Lincoln, Jaime and Abbey got engaged, a new missionary, Taylor, a brand new half sister, Karen, the beginning of Middle School for my baby, Ally, and my own engagement to the love of my life, Matt, to name just a few amazing events. It also put way too many miles between Aaron and Merica and I which has been my most difficult trial this past year.
I am sure that you have heard the prayer that begins; Lord grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. That is the mantra I have adopted for the year. Repeating this to myself every morning, or when something in my world is amiss. It puts things in to perspective for me, and allows me to focus! And guess what I AM FOCUSED! I look forward to this year and all it has in store and I say... BRING IT ON!
