Today I received an email from Chelsie. It wasn't a long email, nor was it profound in any way, but it has given me such a happy heart. To imagine that after so long maybe this whole blending of families just may work out! I will never be their Mom. They all have an awesome Mom, but it would be incredible to be called a friend some day, or to be a mom-like figure in their lives if ever needed. For me I will just be thankful for the small gift! As an added note. I am blessed by I feel a broader acceptance of me as a person in her Dad's life by Abby and Tony. They have no idea how such a little thing as a pink Italia hat they brought me back from Italy has impacted my outlook on the future! They have no idea how much I am looking forward to the birth of their baby boy! AND another additional note...4/27 Taylor came and had dinner with us at the house! The one question that kept creeping into my mind was Tay what took you so long? Wow what an amazing young man, what a great personality, what a fun kid! Why did it take us so long to connect? I wish Aaron and Tay could have made a connection before Aaron moved...the only sons in a sea of daughters! Thanks Tay for coming over! What a fantastic month this has been.
