We had a power outage today at work. It was a not so ordinary occurrence in an other wise ordinary day. By the time the power had been off for just over an hour and the techies were getting a bit nervous because the server room was getting way over heated the powers that be decided to send us all home. The main servers were shut down so as not to overheat. The offices started to empty as people gathered their things and high tailed it out of there to enjoy an unexpected gift of a few extra hours off. Bill, Jenny, Gail, and I were not quite fast enough. As I was walking back into my office from Gail's the power returned, as the lights blazed we heard a distinct voice from down the hall (she too had been one whose retreat had not been quite fast enough) yell, "oh crap!" I think that same thought was in ALL of the "slow pokes" minds!
