October

October is my absolute favorite month of the year. I love the vibrant yellows, oranges, and reds of the changing leaves, and the smell of Autumn. I love Halloween! This month I will especially love October because it is this month that I get to see Aaron! I have missed him. One week from today I will sit in an audience with Merica, Matt, and Ally and watch him graduate from FLETC. I am proud of his accomplishment. I am amazed at all he has learned, and all he has had to go through to get to that day. My only regret is that Abbey will not be able to join us on the trip. It has been years since I have been on a trip with Abbey and I wish she could join us on this one. My children have no idea how much I miss them when they are far from me. I dread the day when they will be scattered like the falling leaves and live their lives in a place further than a hop, skip and a jump. I think there should be a 100 mile rule of some sort, or even a 200 mile rule! What will I do when the Thanksgiving table does not include my Abbey and her favorite Stuffed Zucchini, or Aaron and Merica coming over to share the feast? I will enjoy these last holidays together this year and make some more lasting memories. I will gather them close and soak them in so that on the days when we are further apart I can recall a smell, a laugh, or a look and it will get me by until the next time we are all together. I love you guys! I am proud of each of your accomplishments!
